Quantum percolation in power-law diluted chains

چکیده
We investigate the quantum percolation problem in a diluted chain with long-range hopping amplitudes. Each bond is activated with probability p(r) = p1/r , where r is the distance between two sites and α characterizes the range of the interactions. The average participation ratio of all eigenstates is used as a measure of the wave-functions localization length. We found that, above a quantum percolation threshold p (q) 1 , true extended states appears for α < 1.5. In the regime of 1.5 < α < 2.0 there is no trully extended states even in the presence of a spanning cluster. Instead, a phase of critical wave-

Diffusion in disordered lattices and related heisenberg ferromagnets
We study the diffusion of classical hard-core particles in disordered lattices within the formalism of a quantum spin representation. This analogy enables an exact treatment of noninstantaneous correlation functions at finite particle densities in terms of single spin excitations in disordered ferromagnetic backgrounds. Applications to diluted chains and percolation clusters are discussed. It i...

In a previous work [Dillon and Nakanishi, Eur. Phys. J. B 87, 286 (2014)EPJBFY1434-602810.1140/epjb/e2014-50397-4], we numerically calculated the transmission coefficient of the two-dimensional quantum percolation problem and mapped out in detail the three regimes of localization, i.e., exponentially localized, power-law localized, and delocalized, which had been proposed earlier [Islam and Nak...
متن کاملQuantum Phase Transitions on Percolating Lattices
When a quantum many-particle system exists on a randomly diluted lattice, its intrinsic thermal and quantum fluctuations coexist with geometric fluctuations due to percolation. In this paper, we explore how the interplay of these fluctuations influences the phase transition at the percolation threshold. While it is well known that thermal fluctuations generically destroy long-range order on the...
متن کاملPercolation quantum phase transitions in diluted magnets.
We show that the interplay of geometric criticality and quantum fluctuations leads to a novel universality class for the percolation quantum phase transition in diluted magnets. All critical exponents involving dynamical correlations are different from the classical percolation values, but in two dimensions they can nonetheless be determined exactly. We develop a complete scaling theory of this...
متن کاملLocalization-delocalization transition in a two-dimensional quantum percolation model.
We study the hopping transport of a quantum particle through randomly diluted percolation clusters in two dimensions realized both on the square and triangular lattices. We investigate the nature of localization of the particle by calculating the transmission coefficient as a function of energy ( -2<E<2 in units of the hopping integral in the tight-binding Hamiltonian) and disorder, q (probabil...
